"Do not be consumed with romantic love...work and friendship brought much more happiness."
"At the end of the day, it is not the love of one person, but the love of life that matters.."
"Like sunrise, sunset.. we appear, we disappear..like ephemeral, just like our life.
We are so important to someone,
but we are just passing through..."
Fontaine
這首 "I dreamed a
Lea
Salonga
Lea Salonga
Anne Hathaway
"I dreamed a dream in time gone by When hope was high And life worth living I dreamed that love would never die I dreamed that God would be forgiving Then I was young and unafraid And dreams were made and used and wasted There was no ransom to be paid No song unsung, no wine untasted
But the tigers come at night With their voices soft as thunder As they tear your hope apart As they turn your dream to shame.."
"On my own"
"On my own, pretending he is beside me All alone I walk with him till morning without him I feel his arms around me and when I lose my way I close my eyes and he has found me
and I know it is only in my mind and I am talking to myself, and not to him
I love him, but everyday I am learning All my life, I am only been pretending without him, his world will go on turning A world full of happiness that I have never known I love him, I love him, I love him but only on my own"
Eponine
my own..)。
"Do you hear the people sing singing the song of angry men this is the music of a people who will not be slaves again when the beating of your heart echoes the beating of the drums there is a life about to start when tomorrow comes.."
"Empty chairs at empty tables"。
There's a grief that can't be spoken
There's a pain that goes on and on
Empty chairs at empty tables
Now my friends are dead and gone
Here they talked of revolution
Here it was they lit a flame
Here they sang about tomorrow
but tomorrow never came
From the table in the corner
they could see a world reborn
and they rose with voices ringing
and I can hear them now
the very words that they had sung
became their last communion
on the lonely barricade at dawn
Oh my friends, my friends, forgive me
that I live and you are gone
There is a grief that cannot be spoken
there is a pain that goes and on
Phantom faces at the window
phantom shadows on the floor
Empty chairs at empty tables
Where my friends will meet no more
Oh my friends, my friends, don' t ask me
what your sacrifice was for
empty chairs at empty tables
now my friends will sing no more ....
"One Day More"
VALJEAN:
One day more!
Another day, another destiny.
This never-ending road to Calvary;
These men who seem to know my crime
Will surely come a second time.
One day more!
MARIUS & COSETTE:
Tomorrow you'll be worlds away
And yet with you, my world has started!
Will we ever meet again?
I was born to be with you.
And I swear I will be true!
EPONINE
One more day all on my own.
One more day with him not caring.
What a life I might have known.
But he never saw me there!
One more day before the storm!
At the barricades of freedom
When our ranks began to form
Will you take your place with me?
Students (學生們):
One day more to a new beginning
Raise the flag of freedom high!
Every man will be a king
There's a new world for the winning
There's a new world to be won
One more day to revolution,
We will nip it in the bud!
I will join these little schoolboys
They will wet themselves with blood!
M. & MME. THENARDIER:
Watch 'em run amuck,
Catch 'em as they fall,
Never know your luck
When there's a free for all,
Here a little `dip'
There a little `touch'
Most of them are goners
So they won't miss much!
外,還有 Valjean 獨唱 "Bring him home" ,Javert 的 "Stars",,小cosette 夢想的"Castle

Les Miserables 25th anniversary concert soundtrack - "Drink with me"
ENJOLRAS
Cuferaque, you take the watch
They may attack before it's light
Everybody keep the faith
For certain as our banner flies
We are not alone
The people too must rise
Marius, rest.
GRANTAIRE
Drink with me to days gone by
ALL
To the life (to the life) that used (that used) to be (to be)
At the shrine of friendship, never say die
Let the wine of friendship never run dry
Here's to you (here's to you) and here's to me
MARIUS
Do I care if I should die
Now she goes across the sea?
Life without Cosette
Means nothing at all.
Would you weep, Cosette,
If i was a fall?
Will you weep, Cosette,
For me?

特別是學生街頭起義,現場再聽 "Red & Black","Drink with me","Empty Chairs at empty tables",等幾首歌 ...
"Here they talked of revolution
Here it was they lit a flame
Here they sang about tomorrow
but tomorrow never came ...."
這是 "Drink with me" 部分歌詞:
"Drink with me to days gone by
Can it be you fear to die?
Will the world remember you
When you fall?
Could it be your death
Means nothing at all?
Is your life just one more lie?
Drink with me to days gone by
To the life that used to be
At the shrine of friendship, never stay dark
Let the wine of friendship never run dry
Here's to you and here's to me.."
Here it was they lit a flame
Here they sang about tomorrow
but tomorrow never came ...."
